Task
In this project, we will use a various techniques to model human population growth. With a partner, you will work to develop your own model and use it to predict the future. This project will be an opportunity to discuss mathematics in a way that you may not be used to: The topic of population growth has more than just mathematical implications. It has biological, statistical, philosophical, political, and moral significance.
You will be researching the population growth from 1900 to 2010. From this data, you will create a growth model. Later on you will investigate the carrying capacity of Earth. In the end, you will have an end product of many graphs and a population equation. You will answer questions throughout this WebQuest. At the end, you will compare your end product with others in your class.
